December 14th - 19th

Our last full week of school this year!  Hard to believe we are almost to Christmas and a new year!!  This week will be full of activities, play practices, and tying up loose ends.

We will have spelling words coming home this week.  They have been doing a wonderful job with these!  We have had many 100's!!!!

We are having a small birthday party Monday afternoon for Ms Ploederl.  The students brainstormed words to describe her last week and we put the words into a word cloud.  We framed the word cloud and the students all signed it.

We made a quilt to give to Jesus for his birthday.  Each student made a quilt square and Ms. Ploederl is sewing the quilt together.  We want this to be from the students so we are asking each student to bring a dollar for the supplies.  Thanks in advance!!

Our Christmas Concert is on December 22nd. There will be a 9:30 am and 6 pm performance.   Students in our classroom were either sent a note of what they needed to wear or they have a costume at school.  If they are in the choir they should be in their Sunday best and then they will change before the play.

December 7th - 11th

We have been very busy in our classroom!  We have been working on a number of activities and added play practice to our schedule.  Needless to say the students have been great and we have been very proud of their behavior and effort!

Guided reading groups are meeting each week.  The books we are reading are so much fun!  We have been focusing on character traits and text to self.  Please help to remind your student to complete the assignment on time.  If they aren't prepared when our group meets, they miss a lot of important information.

We will be having a math test on either Wednesday or Thursday this week.  They should do great on it!  They need to know how to find answers to math facts 6, 7, and 8's.  They also need to be able to multiply math facts by groups of 10's.

We have been asked by Ms. Morrin to make a gift for baby Jesus to put under the tree at school.  The class voted on making a quilt.  Each student has chosen their quilt square they are going to make.  Ms. Ploederl will sew the quilt together for us.  This is a secret between classes, so please don't share outside of our room.  Thanks!
