March 21st - March 25th

Hard to believe spring break is almost here already!  It has been fun listening to the kids talk about their spring break plans.

There will not be a spelling list this week!

We will be having our Lenten Retreat on Thursday morning.  The kids will rotate stations and then end with the fifth graders presenting the Last Supper.

Our spring break starts on Thursday, March 24th with an Early Release at 12:30pm.  There is not after care that day.

I have attached pictures of us doing a St. Patrick's Day project with the Kindergarten class.  There are also pictures of our wonderful presentation of  The Living Stations.

March 14th - 18th

This week the students will perform the living stations of the cross on Wednesday at 2:00 pm in church.  The students have been practicing so hard and are doing so well.  Hope to see many of you there.  We are taping it in case you are not able to make the performance.

There will be a spelling list that will be coming home this weekend.  Continue studying these words each  night.

We currently have seven students who have completed the multiplication timed tests and many who are very close.  These students have already earned the ice cream party.  Please continue to work with the students to learn their facts.  They have until May 13th to complete the tests and earn their party.

It is important that the students are doing RAZ each night.  A book once in a while is okay, but try to have them do RAZ as much as possible.  This is such a great tool for us.  It sends a report on the areas that we need to spend a little more time working on.

March 7th - 11th

What a beautiful morning it is!!  Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

This week we will have a spelling list come home. Continue to study each night at home.  Last week almost everyone had an A or better!  That is quite a feat!!

Next week we will be performing the living stations.  We have been practicing very hard almost every day.  The performance will be March 16 at 2:00 pm at church.  Hope to see many of you there!!

I hope you enjoyed the book the students wrote.  Below this blog there are pictures of them sharing their books with the other classes.  They worked hard and are so proud of their books!!

I also am putting some pictures from our pizza party.  Ms. Ploederl and the class gave me a special pizza party for my birthday.  They also made an adorable poster with my favorite treats on it...candy and chocolate!!
